Year 7 is already part of high school across the country so this move will bring South Australia in line with other states and territories, as well as other education systems in our state.
If your child is in 6 at Thorndon Park Primary this year, they will graduate from primary school this year. We want to assure you that our students will experience a positive and successful transition from primary to high school. To ensure the experience is memorable, we are considering how leadership opportunities, seniors jumpers, graduation ceremonies and participation in activities will include all year 6 students.
Registration of interest for secondary school in 2024 starts at the beginning of term 2, 1 May 2023 and closes on 26 May 2023. The registration process is an online application which is managed by the primary school. Families will receive a registration of interest form and information by email. On Friday 12 April 2024, the canteen will be hosting a special sushi lunch day. Lunch must be pre-ordered via Qkr! and will be sent to classroom on the day.
Friday 12 April 2024 is the last day of term 1. There will be early dismissal at 2:10pm unless booked into OSHC.
Our Pupil Free Day in term 2 will be on Monday 29 April 2024. OSHC is available on this day.
