Materials and Services Charge 2022 Government rebate

As you are aware, the Government made a commitment to give South Australian families with school-age children a $100 discount on their public school’s Materials and Services Charge for each child for the next two school years (2022 and 2023). Thorndon Park Primary School staff applied the credit notes for 2022 to all eligible accounts in June. The refund specifically relates to the Materials and Services Charge. If you have outstanding fees, the credit must be applied to them in the first instance. School Card families who have outstanding fees and are waiting for their application to be approved cannot utilize the credit until a final outcome from School Card is received.

If eligible for School Card, the credit does not apply and will be cancelled. If you have already paid your school fees for this year, your balance will be in credit. The credit maybe used for other expenses incurred throughout the year including hats, excursions, incursions, 2023 fees etc. However, you may prefer the credit transferred to your bank account.

If you have not completed the survey https://forms.office.com/r/EfELprUuXW to indicate your preference and provide bank details if required, please do so as a matter of urgency. We are currently working through the process of refunding credits to families. Please be careful to enter your banking information accurately. If you have any questions, please direct them to our finance officer on 8337 2050 or email dl.1154.finance@schools.sa.edu.au.
