Academic Reporting

Academic Reporting
At our school, we believe that strong communication with families is essential to supporting every child’s learning. Our academic reporting cycle is designed to provide clear, consistent information about your child’s progress and achievement throughout the year.

Reporting Timeline
Families receive two formal written reports each year:
Semester 1 Report – issued in the final week of Term 2
Semester 2 Report – issued in the final week of Term 4
All reports are shared electronically, making them easy to access and keep for future reference.

What’s Included in the Report?
Each report provides a comprehensive overview of your child’s learning and includes:

General Comment
A personalised teacher comment that highlights:

  • Your child’s strengths
  • Areas of growth
  • Next steps in their learning

Achievement Grades (A–E)
Students receive an A–E grade for each of the eight learning areas as outlined in the Australian Curriculum and South Australian Curriculum.
These grades reflect how your child is achieving against year-level expectations.

Learning Dispositions
We also value the habits and attitudes that support successful learners. Your child’s report includes feedback on key learning dispositions:

  • Resilient – Perseveres through challenges and sustains effort
  • Engaged – Shows interest, asks questions, and actively participates
  • Resourceful – Uses strategies and initiative to solve problems
  • Responsible – Takes ownership of learning and meets expectations

Partnering with Families
Our reporting process is one part of our ongoing partnership with families. We encourage you to:

  • Read your child’s report together
  • Celebrate strengths and progress
  • Discuss next steps for learning

If you have any questions about your child’s report, we welcome you to connect with your child’s teacher.
