In 2014 Thorndon Park Primary School joined the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program. This is a “fork to fork” program. Students are involved in growing, harvesting, preparing and sharing healthy food. Students enjoy participating in this program which allows them to prepare fresh and delicious dishes from produce that they have grown. Students feel a sense of pride when they are able to see and taste the finished products and take home the recipes to cook and share with their families.
