Our Library caters for the teaching and learning needs of Reception to Year 7 students and staff. Books and resources can be borrowed on any day of the week and classes have scheduled weekly borrowing times.
Students are able to borrow fiction and non-fiction books and are encouraged to read a range of text types. Library monitors help with returns and shelving.
Students may borrow up to four books for a loan period of two weeks.
Our library uses the Bookmark borrowing system and we encourage students to borrow during all holiday periods with the exception of the long end of year break.
We support the Premier’s Reading Challenge to promote reading for both pleasure and information.
Digital cameras, interactive whiteboards and multimedia software allow students to present their work in multimodal ways. Book Fairs and Book week activities are promoted across teaching and learning areas. Parent/caregiver volunteers are welcome.
The Bradman Gymnasium:
Our school gymnasium is well-equipped and is used by classes for indoor physical education activities, dedicated PE, Performing Arts and assemblies. A large screen, projection facilities and sound system are used for teaching and sharing of students’ work. The Gym is available for hire by our community for groups such as Karate, Soccer, Yoga and Fitness.
The school canteen operates on a daily basis at lunchtimes and is operated by parent and caregiver volunteers. Parents/caregivers who are able to volunteer their assistance are asked to contact the Front Office. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
Students may order their lunch by placing their order in a class container. Lunch orders are outsourced to a local bakery on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Lunch orders are collected at 9.00 am in the classroom and taken to the Front Office for collection. Lunches are delivered to the school before eating time and classroom monitors collect them for distribution.
Students are discouraged from having large amounts of money and have a limit of $3.00 per day.
Canteen rosters are published fortnightly in our Newsletters and may be viewed on the Newsletters page.
